Train to be a teacher at
the North London Hub

“The course has been very, very good… I had high hopes because of the fantastic school setting and its supportive staff. Nothing seems too challenging or out of reach.”

How it works

The National Mathematics and Physics SCITT’s North London Hub is led by Queen Elizabeth’s Girls’ School (QEGS) in Barnet.

QEGS has a reputation for excellence and provides the perfect base to get together with other trainees in the same subject to share ideas and experiences and learn from the outstanding teacher training team and staff body.

Our excellent training team and the superb facilities at Queen Elizabeth’s Girls’ School will ensure you get the very best Mathematics or Physics teacher training in North London, Hertfordshire and its environs.

Trainees are based here one day a week for their training. This is an opportunity for trainees to come together with other Mathematics and Physics trainees, share ideas and experiences and learn from our outstanding Hub Subject Leads.  QEGS has great facilities and a highly experienced and enthusiastic team that will ensure trainees receive the best possible teacher training experience.

Full-time trainees will spend the other four days in the week at one of our growing network of high achieving placement schools, where they will build their experience and learn from some great teaching mentors, so they enjoy a flying start to their teaching careers.
