Wycombe High School is spearheading a national teacher training campaign to recruit vital Mathematics and Physics teachers for secondary schools throughout England. The National Mathematics and Physics School Centred Initial Teacher Training institute (NMAPS) organises and oversees the recruitment and training of teachers who want to specialise in those subjects. These new trainees will, once qualified as Maths and Physics teachers, help produce the next generation of stand-out students. Two current trainees, Will and Tarren, who have just started their one-year teacher training course, spoke to two young students, Toshani and Alicia, from Wycombe High TV – Britain’s only student-led school TV channel.
They talk about the teacher training course so far and what they are enjoying about their experience.
